Our two passions...

Tennis and insuring tennis clubs. We have used our combined insurance and tennis experience to develop a specialist tennis club insurance product designed to protect your club.

Court Cover was born

Nevett & Taylor have been providing insurance since 1974 and we’re based in the village of New Mills, in the Derbyshire countryside. We first offered tennis club insurance in 1999 and soon realised how our knowledge of club tennis, and the particular needs of a tennis club, meant we were able to provide bespoke tennis club insurance tailored to individual clubs’ needs.

Nevett and Taylor also provides a wide range of other insurance

Howden is one of the UK's leading independent insurance brokers, providing insurance and risk management solutions to over 300 sport and recreation associations, and more than 3 million individual participants.

Our Team

Graham Nevett

Court Cover tennis club scheme director

I fell in love with tennis from an early age and have played at Woodside tennis club for over 40 years. I have also been an insurance broker for over 25 years and our Tennis club scheme allows me to pursue both of my passions..

Anna Sidebotham

Senior claims administrator

As a senior claims handler I love helping people and helping get claims paid quickly. In my spare time I have a real passion for riding and spending time with my horse. We spend most of our time ambling along bridleway’s and country roads exploring the countryside..

Jessica Waterhouse

Claims administrator

When I’m not assisting with claims and liaising with Tennis clubs over there policies I can quite often be found playing women’s 6-a-side cricket for my local village team. If I’m not doing this I like to spend time with my friends and family..

Tennis is in our DNA

Our involvement in tennis can be traced back to 1968 when current MD Graham Nevett’s father Michael joined Woodside Tennis Club in Cheshire.

Michael soon became a member of the Lawn Tennis Umpires Association, British Tennis Umpires Association and the Society of Lawn Tennis Referees. As a highly respected tennis umpire, Michael’s crowning moment came when he officiated at the 1986 Wimbledon final between Boris Becker and Ivan Lendl.

Michael was a keen player as well as an umpire, representing Cheshire at Wimbledon and featured in a pro-celebrity event at the Albert Hall, partnering Fred Stolle to victory against John Newcombe and partner.

Graham followed in his father’s footsteps and is a past club captain at Woodside and brother, Andrew, is currently club chairman. This love for tennis, coupled with day-to-day involvement in running a club made Graham realise just how important specialised insurance for tennis clubs is.

Court Cover was set up and provides UK tennis clubs of all sizes peace of mind.
